High Blood Pressure: A Way Of Life

November 4th 2006 21:29
Embrace your high blood pressure as a symbol of the lifestyle you have chosen to sustain. Wear your elevated systolic and diastolic numbers like a badge of honor, saying to all that you are proud and happy with the lifestyle you have achieved, and will not let some silly thing like hypertension stop you.

Minimal exercise allows you to avoid sweat, sore muscles, enhanced circulation, and the effort of engaging the body.

Fat and greasy food just flat out taste good. Mmmmmmmm, this food tastes grrreat!

Hyper-busyness allows you to get as much done as possible. Multi-tasking is good, right?

Relaxation is for sissies, wussies, and weak people. So don't even go there.

Embrace your high blood pressure, as a symbol of the lifestyle you have chosen to sustain.

Oh, and by the way, be sure you have an extended care clause in your insurance policy. You never know if that stroke is going to be a bit more pesky than you anticipated.

Oh, you haven't thought about that?

My father had high blood pressure for much of his life. Big mistake not to change your lifestyle to fix it.

So insidious, the malady. And such serious consequence.

How did your dad do?
