I Hear Voices

What voice do you hear in the morning?
Though many may not intend to, we all at some point or other have 'the voice' that either berates us or boosts us up. In this hectic day and age, it's not uncommon to wake up in the morning with the "oh my god, will I get to that appointment on time, and if I do will I be all that I can be, and if I'm not will I survive the consequences, and if I do what will happen next"...ad nauseum. A bit unpleasant, and just not the way to start the day.
If this is the nature of your morning voice, then self talk, especially of the positive/constructive nature, may be for you. Better to acknowledge your strengths and constructive intentions than do bathe (and drown) yourself in what a loser, jerk, f#@k up you are. Even if you are a jerk and f#@k up, you don't want to stay in that energy. It will only keep you stuck and mired in mediocracy, at best.
Come up with your own morning mantra, repeat it to yourself several times as you enter your day, and become more mindfully involved in whatever it is your are hoping to do. In this way, you increase the chances that it will happen.

'infinite love and gratitude'
I use it to ward of bad thoughts.
It tides me over.
