Relaxation, Regeneration, & Rejuvenation

Did you know that you, and likely most of those around you, over-ride an extremely important function of the mind-body system nearly all the time? The Basic-Rest-Activity-Cycle (BRAC) occurs approximately every 90 - 120 minutes, throughout the day and night. As research has determined, for about every 90 minutes of focused, active, performance type activity, the mind-body requires about 20 - 30 minutes of down time to regenerate and process.
To over-ride this, as most do, is to burden and fetter the system such that optimal and peak performance becomes less and less likely.
How often have you been on target and in the zone in whatever activity you were engaged, when suddenly, you became a bit distracted, needed to stretch or yawn, and get away for a bit? This is BRAC, and the healthy response is to give yourself some serious though brief down time. This allows the system to process whatever has been going on, as well as to re-invigorate towards peak performance levels.
