In & Of The Stream Of Consciousness
October 10th 2006 12:42
"The sun shines not on us but in us. The rivers flow not past, but through us, thrilling, tingling, vibrating every fiber and cell of the substance of our bodies, making them glide and sing."
-- John Muir
This quote is striking, in that it becomes an eloquent reminder that we are not separate from nature. We are nature, and once we realize and live that notion, we begin to fully participate in life.
Life, with all its' ups and downs, is around us and within us. Sometimes we humans create boundaries that protect us from what we value as danger. The danger of that, though, is that we also separate ousrselves out from that which is rich and abundant.
The dance is to remain unique in what one is in the world, while being an active participant in the ever-flowing stream of consciousness.
