Tits, Tats, & Neener-Neeners

Though I am certain that reasonable discourse still exists, critical thinking and well-reasoned positions have been replaced with mindless and reactive rants, raves, and invitations to 'flame'. Be it political, social, emotional, or even spiritual, it seems many are so attached to a 'position' or 'school of thought' that meaningful engagement has become less about true interaction and more about finding relief from what I surmise can only be a dis-ease based in an unfortunate psycho-fragility.
Psycho-fragility. Not a place from which to base your arguments or beliefs or propaganda campaigns. Rather, a source from which healing can begin.
Whether it is the political right versus the political left, the Goddists versus the anti-goddists, the haves versus the have nots, the adolescents versus the parents, or the Hatfields versus the McCoys, an 'all or nothing' type of mind-set seems to have set in that will disallow dialogue and disempower human beings. And in a snowballing fashion, the more disempowered, the more reactive. And on and on.
Now then, that's a problem.
"Walk away from your dogma", I implore. "Open your eyes, ears, and arms" to others that differ from you and your beliefs. Consider that a difference of opinion, belief, values, or even appearance need not be a threat. It may indeed be an expression of the sheer diversity that exists in nature, with an underlying foundation that is common to all of us.
All this being said, it seems that all that is left is the proverbial question:
"Can't we all just get along?"
